Mobilising Christians Against Poverty

Micah Challenge Zambia exists to deepen Christian engagement with poor people and influence leaders of rich and poor nations to fulfil their public promise to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, and so halve absolute global poverty by 2015.

Micah Challenge in Zambia is co-ordinated by Jubilee Centre, based in Ndola, under the auspices of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ), as a coalition of Christians wanting to deepen their engagement in poverty reduction and help achieve the Millennium Development Goals in Zambia.

Micah Challenge is a global campaign of the World Evangelical Alliance and the Micah Network to help mobilise Christians against poverty. In Zambia Pastor Lawrence Temfwe, the Executive Director of Jubilee Centre, has been appointed the Micah Challenge National Facilitator for Zambia by the EFZ and the international Micah Challenge secretariat.
